For the 4th we (meaning the whole family) went to my parent's houseboat on lake Oroville. They have a fireworks show in the evening and during the day all the cousins can play, swim and fish. It was hot... I mean HOT and the water was very bumpy... not great for a gal who has morning sickness.
That's right, you heard me, morning sickness. We are 9 weeks pregnant right now.
Anyway, so it wasn't the most enjoyable time for me but the girls really seemed to have fun as did my sister and brother's children. They caught a few fish, a toad and swam to their hearts content. The fireworks display was nice too. Hope was a bit scared at first with all the loud noises then she grew bored of it all and wanted to play. Haven especially loved visiting with her one girl cousin, Reese. All in all it was a good time... but I was certainly glad to get back on dry land and enjoy my air conditioning!
