Fairytale Town & Santa Cruz

A couple of weekends ago we decided to go on a family vacation.

We started off by going down to Sacramento to visit Fairytale Town.  It is a cute park across from the Zoo that has some animals and fun play areas all Fairytale themed.

We stayed the night with our friends Erick and Melissa.  It was a fun day and was nice to be able to visit with friends we don't see very often.

The next morning we drove to Santa Cruz.  It was a very windy day but we had to go to the beach anyway.  The girls were SO excited when they saw all that sand!  The ocean was very cold but Haven did put her feet in it.

I dug a big hole for the girls to play in.  Actually it was to give them a bit of a brake from the wind if they sat in it but they had more fun playing in it.

Even though we ended up with sand every where it was a good day!

We went to my Great Aunt Jimmie's house for dinner.  The girls had a great time there and it was very nice to visit with them.

The next day was perfect weather!  No wind and not too hot!

I had bought some sea shells at the dollar store and when the girls weren't looking I threw them around the area we were sitting.  Then the girls went on a shell hunt.
After we made a sand castle and Haven decorated it with the shells.

Hope loved playing in the giant sand box and Haven like chasing the seagulls.

After much beach time we visited the Boardwalk and Haven went on the Carousel and we had some corn dogs and ice cream.  It was a great day!
