Today Hope had a field trip with her Parent/Toddler class. Haven opted to miss preschool to join us because it was to the Fair Grounds in a neighboring town... that had a train!!!
"WHOOO, WHOOO!!!!", is how I was woken up by an excited 4 year old this morning at 6:30.
We baked banana/applesauce bread and added a few chocolate chips, one loaf for us and one loaf for our neighbor who needed a little extra TLC this week. Then we got ready to go.
As I was loading the car the wind blew the house door closed and the door handle was locked... with keys inside the house. Thankfully a window was open so I had Haven climb through and unlock the door for me. Finally we got everything and everyone in the car... including the keys and we were finally off. We sang silly songs all the way there. The car is almost always a musical waiting to happen.
When we got there Hope wasn't so sure she wanted to be on a train and she snuggled into me as tight as she could. It was a super windy day so the extra cuddles were extra wonderful. Haven loved it from the first moment! We road around and around. We stopped for a little lunch then got back on the train. By then Hope was much more excited to be on the train and didn't want it to stop but eventually out time there came to an end. Then it was back to the car for act 2 of our mobile musical!
