Tile Smile

This was a very busy weekend. Our friends Erick and Melissa came from Sacramento to help us with the tile in our house. Big giant shout out to them for their amazing help and instructions!!! Shane is learning from Erick and picking it up like a Pro! We ended up with a bit more work then we hoped it would be as the tiles we got for the kitchen counter did not match the existing tiles. It was the best we could find but was going to look quite oddly pieced together. Erick had a solution… take apart the smallest bathroom vanity (which has the same tile as the kitchen counter) and use those pieces to match things up. So we did. There is still much work to be done but things are coming along nicely and Shane is learning a new and fabulous home improvement skill! Thanks again Erick and Melissa for your time and love!

Superb Sister Sighting

In the midst of all the craziness there was a S.S.S. (Superb Sister Sighting). This evening after bath I asked Haven to go and get her hair brush so I could brush her hair. She did and instead began brushing her own hair. She pretended to be Dora the Explorer, where Dora brushes her hair and it grows. This very much intrigued Hope as Hope is a Dora fanatic. Hope was then quite willing to allow her sister to brush her hair. This is a miracle as Hope begins screaming, “Owie!!!!” the moment she sees me with a brush. Hope stood there as pleased as can be as sissy brushed her hair. After a few moments Haven said, “Hope stay right there” and ran off as Hope answered, “Alright!” Soon Haven returned with some hair clips and head bands and began playing hair dresser on Hope. Soon Hope wanted a turn too and Haven complied. Most defiantly a S.S.S.!
