Seriously, is this summer vacation?! The past month has been so hard it sure hasn't felt like much of a "vacation"!
First Haven sliced open her knee at the end of the year school party. We had to go to the Dr and get a special bandage that is like stitches. Then Harmony got a TERRIBLE case of Hand Foot Mouth Disease. My neighbor said in all of Harmony's life he has never heard her cry like that! We went to the Dr and got some pain medication but there really wasn't any thing more they could do. They said that this year the strain has been much worse than any previous years they have seen! Poor baby! She was in so much pain!
She got horrible blisters all down her throat, around her little mouth, on her hands and her sweet little feet. The blisters must have really hurt because she would try to stand up and then pick one foot up and then the next and just cry and reach for me any time she was on the floor.
Then Haven got some kind of something with a fever and sore throat for 3 days. Might have been a lesser case of what Harmony got but don't know for sure. Just as she was getting better my back gave out. Probably went out because I was having to hold Harmony so much!
It was so bad that every step made me cry and I had to have Shane come home from work. Sadly there went two days of his hard earned vacation time spent on taking care of me and the kids.
One praise in the midst of all of that is I was able to walk (in much pain, but no tears) to throw Haven's birthday celebration. (Pictures to come in another blog.)
Not more than a few days later Haven got this hacking cough! Then Hope got it and then the baby got some kind of congestion thing and now I have it. Arg!
Learning to dance in the rain is a process!
